What services can I get at AHS Youth Program?

AHS Youth Program provides youth with a large variety of reproductive health services, such as:

  • Safe, confidential drop-in space
  • One-to-one health education counseling
  • Pamphlets and brochures on sexual health topics
  • STI/HIV testing
  • Condoms & Lube
  • Pregnancy tests
  • Pelvic exams & pap smears
  • Birth control prescriptions & referrals
  • Emergency Contraception (ie. Plan B, Morning after pill)
  • Referrals to abortion service providers
  • Youth leadership development
  • Reproductive health workshops at local schools

How do I access these services?

To access our services, simply drop by our main office. Our main office is located in The SPOT Youth Center at 299 13th Street in Oakland Chinatown. There, we can help you sign up for FamilyPACT which is a form of health insurance that covers most reproductive health services. Once you are done signing up, we will give you a green card which is proof of your insurance. Please bring this card to all appointments!

Counseling services, condoms, and pregnancy tests are all available during our main office's regular hours. All other services are offered during our Teen Clinic hours.

HOWEVER, if you require immediate attention (for instance, if you need Emergency Contraception) or our Teen Clinic hours do not work for you, stop by our office and we can help you drop into Pediatrics.

**If you are a student at Oakland High and you have FamilyPACT, you can receive these services at the Wellness Center.

Remember -- all services are confidential and available to you at no-cost!

When and where is Teen Clinic?

Teen Clinic is held every Wednesday from 5pm - 7pm at the Asian Health Services Main Clinic. The main clinic is located just down the street from our office at 818 Webster. Please call us at 510-986-1024 to make an appointment. We also accept drop-in patients!
